How to Install BytesIce Extensions

Follow these steps to install a BytesIce extension manually in your browser. This process takes less than a minute.

Step 1: Download the Extension

Click the Download button on the Extensions page. You will receive a .zip file.

Step 2: Extract the ZIP File

Right-click the downloaded ZIP file and select “Extract All”.

Make sure the extracted folder contains a file called manifest.json.

Step 3: Open the Extensions Page

Open Chrome and go to: 

chrome://extensions

Step 4: Enable Developer Mode

In the top-right corner, toggle Developer mode ON.

Step 5: Load the Extension

Click “Load unpacked” and select the extracted extension folder.

The extension should now appear in your browser toolbar.

⚠ Important Notes

  • Do not delete the extracted folder after installing.
  • Extensions installed this way will not auto-update.
  • Chrome may disable unpacked extensions after updates.
